Located on Rıfat Paşa Street in the Konak district, the İzmir Archaeology Museum showcases priceless artifacts uncovered during excavations in İzmir and its surroundings. First opened in 1927, the museum has been operating in its current building within Bahribaba Park since 1984.

The collections feature remarkable finds from major ancient cities such as Ephesus, Pergamon, Miletus, and Teos. Exhibits are displayed both inside the museum halls and outdoors in the spacious museum garden. Covering a wide historical range from ancient times to the Ottoman period, the museum offers visitors a fascinating journey through history. The treasure room on the top floor is especially worth seeing. After your visit, you can relax on the benches in the garden and reflect on your discoveries.
