Cleopatra Baths
← Back to list

In this area, which has historical remains dating back to the Lycian period, traces of an ancient bath can be found underwater in Cleopatra Bay. The bay is said to have been named after the bath, supposedly built by Cleopatra herself. Surrounded by pine and olive trees, Cleopatra Bay combines the most beautiful shades of green and blue, making it one of Göcek’s most stunning coves.

The bay can be reached via daily boat tours or by your own private boat. Each year, thousands of tourists visit the area, where remains of a sunken Byzantine monastery can also be seen. There is also a local belief that the waters have healing properties. Who knows, perhaps you will find a little healing in these waters too!
