Çavuşin, one of the oldest settlements in Cappadocia, is located between Göreme and Avanos, just 16 kilometers from Nevşehir city center. Known for its historical heritage and natural beauty, the village hosts dozens of ancient churches in the Monks Valley and offers walking paths with some of the region’s most stunning fairy chimney formations. Visitors can explore Çavuşin on guided hikes, horseback safaris, or even hot air balloon tours.

The massive Çavuşin Church, carved into soft tuff rock during the early Christian period, is a must-see. Additionally, visitors can explore numerous other rock-cut churches such as St. John Church, Three Crosses Church, St. Jean Church, St. Mary Church, Columned Church, Vineyard Church, and Hidden Church. The frescoes adorning the walls depict religious scenes, offering a close-up view of historical and artistic treasures.
